Yes. You add past concerts by hand in Encore on iPhone, on the normal add form from your concert list. You enter the artist, the venue, the city, and the date yourself. There is no import, no ticket scan, and no setlist field. The free plan caps at 10 concerts.

How to add a past concert in Encore
Checked in the Encore app on 23 October 2026. This is the add-concert screen you open from your concert list. A show from years ago uses this same screen. There is no separate mode for old shows.
1. Add a concert
From your concert list, add a concert. Encore opens a form. It does not scan a ticket, and it does not import a list of old shows.
2. Artist
Tap the poster and search for the artist. If the search misses them, type the name. That name is what Encore stores.
3. Venue and city
Type the venue. Set the city by search, or type it. The form will not save until the artist, the venue, and the city are filled in.
4. Date
The date starts as today. Change it to the night of the show. The date control is not locked to today, so a date from years ago is allowed. Encore stores one calendar date, not a year by itself.
5. The rest, if you have it
A rating is 1 to 5 stars, and you can leave it empty. Notes are optional. That is where a setlist goes if you want one: there is no setlist field. An optional tour name is on the form. Photos and videos go on the media tab and stay on the iPhone. If you already have friends in Encore, you can tag who went with you.
Where people find old dates
Encore will not look these up for you. This is a way to rebuild the list before you type it in. Copy what a source actually says. Do not fill a gap with a guess.
- Ticket email. Search your inbox for the artist, the venue, or words like “your tickets” and “order confirmation”. The show date is often in the receipt.
- The account of the company that sold the ticket. Past orders usually list the artist, the venue, and the date.
- Your photo library. A photo or video you took at the show carries a date, and often a place. That date is a strong clue. Encore does not scan your camera roll. You attach the photos after the show exists.
- A bank or card statement. A charge from a venue or a ticket seller is a clue. The charge date is often the day you paid, not the night of the show. Check it against an email or a photo before you log it.
- setlist.fm, if you marked shows as attended. That list has the artist, the venue, and the date. Encore does not import it. You copy each show across by hand.
- An old social post. The post date is a clue, often the night itself or the day after. The caption sometimes names the venue.
What to record for each show
Save needs three things. The rest can wait until you know them.
- Artist, venue, and city. These three are required. If you do not know the venue or the city, keep the clue and come back. Do not invent them.
- One calendar date. If you only know the year, wait until you have a day. There is no “sometime in 2014” entry.
- A rating and notes when you remember them. Notes can hold who you went with, or a setlist you write yourself.
- Photos and videos from that night, if they are still on the phone. They stay on the iPhone.
What Encore builds from those shows
- Stats from the shows you log: how many shows and artists, streaks, your busiest month, top venues, top cities, and a chart of concerts per year. There is no year-to-year comparison.
- A wrapped for this year or all time. It unlocks after 5 concerts. A show dated in another calendar year is part of all time and of that year’s bar on the chart. The wrapped you can open is this year or all time, not a separate recap for every past year.
- A concert passport: countries, cities, venues, and your top artist.
- Festivals, if you log them. A festival has a lineup by day, and each set you link is a normal concert, so it counts toward the 10-concert free cap and toward the stats and the wrapped. Festivals arrived in version 1.6.0.
The free plan and a long history
- The free plan has all features unlocked, limited to 10 concerts. If you log 10 concerts or fewer, Encore is free.
- A history longer than 10 concerts hits that cap. On the add screen, saving another concert on the free plan opens Premium and does not add the show.
- Premium removes the 10-concert limit. On the US App Store on 5 Oct 2026, Premium is $1.99 a week, $9.99 a year, or $25.99 once. Prices can differ by country.
- Encore is iPhone only and needs iOS 18 or later. There is no Android app and no web app. Built by Felipe Basurto.
Catalog apps fill in the venue and the setlist
Checked October 2026. This is not a ranking.
Gigvault’s homepage says its way to log concerts from years ago is: search the artist, pick the year, and the venue and setlist auto-fill.
The Concert Archives App Store listing says you search its database, or add a concert if it is missing, and that concert pages bring together the bands, the venues, and the setlists. The same listing names imports from Setlist.fm, Songkick, and spreadsheets.
Encore is a private diary you fill in by hand. Nothing on the add screen is filled in from a concert catalog.

Questions
Can I log concerts I went to years ago?
Yes. In Encore on iPhone, add a concert from your concert list and enter the artist, the venue, the city, and the date yourself. The date starts as today and is not locked to today, so a past date uses the same form. There is no import, no ticket scan, and no setlist lookup.
Can Encore import my old concert history?
No. The app on the App Store has no import of an old history. You add each show yourself.
What if I only remember the artist and the year?
The form will not save until the artist, the venue, and the city are filled in, and Encore stores one calendar date, not a year by itself. Keep the clue (an email, a photo, a charge, a setlist.fm entry, an old post) and come back when you have a venue, a city, and a day. Do not invent them.
Do old shows count toward the wrapped and the passport?
Yes. They are normal shows. They feed your stats, the all-time wrapped, the chart of concerts per year, and the concert passport. The wrapped unlocks after 5 concerts and is for this year or all time. A show dated in another calendar year is not this year’s wrapped.
Will a long history stay on the free plan?
No, not past 10 concerts. The free plan has all features, capped at 10 concerts. Saving another concert on the free plan opens Premium and does not add the show. Premium removes the cap. On the US App Store on 5 Oct 2026 it is $1.99 a week, $9.99 a year, or $25.99 once. Prices can differ by country.
