Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Encore collects only the minimum information necessary to function:

• Account information: name and email address
• Text details of your concerts, only if you sign in with Apple: artist, venue, date, rating, notes, genres, tour, link to a festival, and map coordinates
• Images: the profile photo you set and, if you choose to share it, a festival poster for a shared festival group (new)

Optional backup: if you sign in with Apple, Encore backs up those text details to its servers (provider: Supabase) when the app starts. They are kept so that a copy of your diary exists. Signing in is optional: without it, nothing about your concerts is uploaded. This version cannot restore that backup after reinstalling or changing phones, and the backup is not shared between devices.

Important: We do NOT store your concert photos or videos. They remain exclusively on your device. The text details of your concerts are uploaded only if you sign in.

2. Legal Basis and Purpose

We process your personal data based on:

• Contract performance: To provide the concert tracking service
• Legitimate interest: To generate personalized statistics and improve the app

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide and maintain the Encore service
• Generate personalized statistics about your music history
• Improve our services (anonymous usage analytics)

4. Information Sharing

We never sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties.We only share data when:

• Required by law or competent authorities
• To protect our legitimate rights or user safety

5. Data Storage and Security

Your concert photos and videos stay on your iOS device and are never uploaded to Encore servers. The only images Encore uploads are a profile photo you set and, if you choose to share it, a festival poster for a shared festival group (new). If you sign in, Encore backs up the text details of your concerts to its servers; this version cannot restore that backup after reinstalling or changing phones. Encore does not use iCloud to sync the app. Your Photos library may sync through Apple iCloud Photos if you have that enabled. Data is sent to Encore's servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Location: The backup of your concert details, your profile photo, and shared festival posters are hosted on Supabase, the server provider Encore uses, which processes them on our behalf, in the EU (Paris, France). Your concert photos and videos are not stored there.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Request what data we have about you
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate information
• Erasure: Delete your data completely
• Portability: Export your data in a readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data
• Restriction: Limit processing of your data

7. Data Retention

We retain your data while you maintain an active Encore account. You can delete all your data at any time from the app settings.

8. International Transfers

Encore uses Supabase as its processor for the optional backup of your concert details (if you sign in), for your profile photo, and for festival posters you choose to share. That data is stored in the EU (Paris, France). Your concert photos and videos are not sent to Supabase.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this policy through the application with at least 30 days advance notice.

10. Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have violated your data protection rights.
